Don’t Regret, Just Say Yes to You!
Many of us are full of the nos, or I cant. I can’t exercise, I can’t eat good food, I can’t get sleep. We begin to put our energy into our rationalizations and believe that our life is constructed in a way that we can’t take care of ourselves.
Next time you find yourself engaging in the I can’t, take time to reframe it into I can.
For example, you usually work out in the morning, and this morning you have to be out the door by 5:30 to get your kid to a special school rehearsal. Rather than saying, “I can’t exercise,” say, “I will park further away on my errands today, and walk an extra 3 minutes 3x today, and when I get home, I will do sit-ups during the show I am going to watch.”
Now, that I can’t has become an I can.
