5 Quick Tips to Reduce Stress
Stress Awareness Month: 5 tips to Reduce Stress
Everyone knows that stress can be bad for your body, but not everyone necessarily knows how to handle it. For Stress Awareness Month, we would like to provide you with five tips to reduce stress.
1. Plan and Prioritize
Write out your to-do list, prioritizing your tasks based on importance and length of time it will take to complete them. Checking items off your to-do list can help you feel more in control while prioritizing your tasks can ensure the most important ones get completed.
2. Avoid Processed Foods
Processed foods can stress your digestive system. Choose a healthy diet full of organic fruits and vegetables to give your body plenty of energy to tackle your busy day.
3. Exercise
It’s been proven that those who exercise sleep deeper and fall asleep faster. Take the time to work up a good sweat, it will pay dividends for your health.
4. Take Time to Relax
Set aside 15-30 minutes each day to quietly relax. Use this time to meditate, practice yoga, or tai chi. The important part is to take a break and do something that will help you take your mind off of the cause of your stress.
5. Try Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the process of using essential oils for improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Try using lavender, vanilla, or rose essential oils in a hot bath or on a warm compress.
