About Benjamin Johnston Sr., MD
Benjamin M. Johnston Sr., MD, is an integrative functional medicine doctor caring for patients at Progressive Medical Center, located in Atlanta, Georgia. His mission is to provide comprehensive care to individuals living in and around the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
Dr. Johnston received his Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency in internal medicine in the Wayne State University-affiliated program in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Johnston then completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Johnston has been in private practice in Macon, Georgia, for over 30 years. During this time, he has developed an evolving interest in integrative medical care and natural treatment alternatives. He is currently a staff physician at Progressive Medical Center. His special interests include natural treatments for metabolic, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal illnesses and conditions.
