About Bertie
Bertie Jones Morris is the Director of Patient Navigation. She educates patients on their recommended protocols, schedules therapy appointments, including IV infusions, regenerative medicine, and environmental allergy treatments (LDA). She also serves as a liaison between patients, providers, support staff, and management to ensure patient satisfaction. Bertie has been with Progressive Medical Center almost seven years. She spent her first five years as Assistant Manager at Progressive Nutracare before crossing over to patient navigation. Prior to that, she held various positions as Nutraceutical Store Manager, Patient Advocate, and Project Manager at an environmental medicine practice in Atlanta for more than four years.
Bertie is a 10 year U.S. Army veteran who graduated from Herzing University with an A.S. degree in Medical Billing and Coding. She also has a diploma in Medical Office Administration from Kerr Business College, and is currently pursuing an AFPA Holistic Health Coach Certification.
In her spare time, Bertie enjoys spending time with her two sons, Christopher and Christian, studying the Bible, volunteering at church, and going to various health food stores in search of the latest trend in health foods that actually taste good.
Bertie’s parents both worked in the medical field. Her father was an RN and her mother was a healthcare technician who also taught her about herbal remedies and supplements at a young age. It was a blessing to be exposed to these different facets of medicine as this knowledge became invaluable in caring for her sons who are both on the autism spectrum. It has been instrumental in her children’s wellness today.
Bertie has a passion for serving others, values the connections she makes with patients, and believes that exceeded expectations should be what each patient should experience from her at Progressive Medical Center. Bertie sees her role as being a reliable point of contact to address all patients’ concerns quickly. She also believes every patient should be cared for as if the person is a family member who is to be treated with respect, and handled with care.
