She is excited to be a part of the Progressive Medical team and to help expand naturopathic medicine in the Southeast.

Naturopathic medicine is based on six principles:

  • The healing power of nature: The body has an inherent ability to heal itself and maintain health.
  • First do no harm: Naturopathic doctors use the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies possible.
  • Identify and treat the cause: Naturopathic doctors seek to address the root cause of illness, not just the symptoms.
  • Treat the whole person: Naturopathic doctors consider the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of each patient.
  • Doctor as teacher: Naturopathic doctors educate and empower patients to take responsibility for their own health.
  • Prevention: Naturopathic doctors emphasize prevention of disease and promotion of optimal health.
